I've got way too much crap on my iPod to shuffle, so here's an honest list of what came up and what was skipped. Now back to my previously playing M. Ward album ... just as soon as this Joan Baez song is over.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was using his Mac with Onlife. Across the Onlife window stretched dits and dashes of color; one set of bars belonged to each program he'd used that day.
When he'd scrolled across the entire day, he looked back at the dits and dashes. He noticed that once or twice the dashes vanished completely.
This really bothered him and he figured Onlife must be buggy. He drafted an email to the developer. "You said that Onlife would record all my activity in iTunes, Mail.app, NetNewsWire, Safari, and iChat. But I have noticed that for about twenty minutes today, Onlife recorded nothing at all. What gives?"
Onlife replied, (this is a dream, after all) "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you don't see any activity, it was then that you were productive."
